Ipswich's manager and Craig Bellamy have been linked with the Scottish champions manager position
Ipswich Town's Kieran McKenna says he has had "zero discussions" with the Glasgow club about their coaching position, while Welsh national team manager Craig Bellamy is dedicated to completing his squad's international campaign.
Each have been linked with the manager's job at the Premiership title holders following the former manager's departure on the start of the week.
McKenna referred to the Glasgow giants as "a really big football club" but emphasized he is "in the middle" of a "extensive rebuilding" with Ipswich Town.
The mid-thirties took charge of Portman Road in 2021 and led them to the English top flight with back-to-back promotions, but they managed only four games last campaign as they were relegated back to the second division and they currently sit twelfth place in England's second tier.
"I have not had such discussions," the English capital native ex- Northern Ireland youth international said when asked about being on Celtic's shortlist.
"It's not something I have considered seriously, or where any portion of my concentration is this week.
"I have a unique position here at a remarkable club. And we're at a really important stage of the season. Anything external hasn't touched my radar."
Reports indicate that the manager would be open to speaking to the Scottish side given his boyhood allegiances.
"Growing up, we all have our preferences," he said when questioned about these. "It's unlikely everyone has to publicly and announce what they used to be, but of course it's a really big sports organization."
The coach agreed to a fresh four-year contract in 2024 and was asked about his alleged buyout clause.
"In every manager's contract, there are provisions," he responded. "I'm unaware what mine are and, if I did, I wouldn't tell you anyway!
"I tackle this job like I'll be Ipswich manager indefinitely. I know that's not invariably going to be the case, but I will consistently give maximum effort as long as I am here."
Bellamy represented the Hoops on temporary transfer from Newcastle United in the mid-2000s, but the former Welsh striker is inclined to complete the ongoing World Cup campaign, a position that would effectively rule out the mid-forties from assuming the Celtic job.
The Welsh squad are presently third in their qualifying group behind leaders Belgium and runners-up Macedonia.
Victories over the minnows and their rivals in November would book their position in the final qualifying round, but they are all but guaranteed of making those, due to a productive Nations League performance, even if they not end up Group J second place.
Considering his current position, Bellamy, whose agreement concludes after Euro 2028, would not be available until after the qualifying matches at the earliest.
